What is 4/7?

4/7 is a transformative movement that blends breathwork, science, and mystery into one powerful rhythm.

4/7 invites you to join serendipitous breathwalks—a simple yet profound ritual: one step per second, breathing in for four seconds, and out for seven. This pattern quiets the mind, opens the soul, and creates space for serendipity—the unplanned, transcendent moments that appear when we slow down enough to notice.

4/7 is inspired by Nobel Prize winner Roger Penrose and anesthesiologist Stuart Hameroff’s Orch-OR theory, which suggests that consciousness might arise from quantum effects in the brain, we wonder: could the interplay of breath, walk, and presence in 4/7 heighten this quantum resonance, opening a portal to a non-local quantum reality and connecting us to deeper, universal insights where synchronicities thrive?

4/7 invites us to get out of our heads, into our body, rooting us in the here & now and attuning us to the subtle patterns of existence.

4/7 is a quiet rebellion—a countercurrent to the digital overload that’s dulled our senses since smartphones and algorithms took over. It's an invitation to disconnect, walk slower, breathe deeper—and listen.

The 4/7 Breathwatch

4/7 is a no-phone experience — a tender countercurrent to the digital storm. Your smartphone is replaced by the 4/7 Breathwatch, gently held and returned after the walk. This minimalist haptic guide aligns your breath and your steps: one step per second, inhale for four, exhale for seven. It creates space for serendipity, random encounters, and the quiet feeling that the universe is finally able to speak to you.

The Breathwatch also supports other common breathing techniques used in modern breathwork, including box breathing (4-4-4-4), coherent breathing (5-5), long-exhale breathing, Wim Hof Method breathing, Oxygen Advantage nasal breathing, breath retention, and traditional pranayama patterns.

🌬️ Itinerary Breakdown

1. Arrival & Welcome (15 min)
We meet in a cozy corner of Berlin—usually a park, courtyard, or studio. A moment to land, breathe, and settle into the vibe.

2. Guided Breathwork (30 min)
We begin with a guided breath session on mats. Music, stillness, and rhythm slow the mind and open the body.

3. Walking Guidelines (15 min)
You'll learn how to walk in sync with your breath—one step per second. Everyone receives a 4/7 wristband that gently cues your rhythm. All bands are synced, so even if you're walking alone, you're breathing together.

4. No Phone Walk (47 min)
This is the core: one step per second, breathing 4 in, 7 out. No phones. Just you, the breath, the streets, and the signs waiting to be seen.

5. Sharing Circle (20 min)
We gather again. Some share. Some just listen. What did the walk reveal?

Often, participants decide to do something together afterward—a coffee, a meal, or simply continuing the walk a little longer.
